Amy Dorod-Gaul LPCC-S
Amy believes therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, respected, and truly understood. With over 16 years of experience, she specializes in trauma‑focused work with adults, particularly those navigating the lasting impact of childhood abuse. She considers it an honor to hold space for people’s stories and approaches each client with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect.
A core belief in Amy’s work is that clients are the experts on their own lives. She trusts the wisdom people carry from their lived experiences and sees her role as walking alongside them—helping them make meaning of what they’ve been through and supporting them in becoming their most authentic and grounded selves.
Amy also works with individuals in high‑stress professions, including police, fire, EMS, and 911 dispatchers, and understands the unique emotional weight these roles can carry. In addition, she has a strong interest in supporting athletes and high‑achievers. With more than 20 years of experience coaching competitive gymnastics and as a parent of athletes, she brings insight into performance anxiety, perfectionism, pressure, identity, and burnout.
Alongside her clinical work, Amy has held leadership and supervision roles throughout her career, which inform her thoughtful, ethical, and grounded approach to care.
For those feeling overwhelmed, impacted by past experiences, or simply ready for change, Amy offers a supportive space where they don’t have to carry everything alone.
