Sarah Peck, LSW

Life is full of transitions. Whether expected or unexpected, these changes can challenge our sense of balance and leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next.

Sarah works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, and a wide range of life transitions, including early parenting, career changes, divorce, empty nesting, caring for aging parents, launching children into adulthood, gender transitions, parenting LGBTQ+ children, grief, and loss. She believes that periods of change, while often difficult, can also create opportunities for growth, healing, and deeper self-understanding.

Sarah's therapeutic approach begins with honoring each client's relationship with themselves. Together, therapist and client explore the unique concerns that brought them to therapy while cultivating self-compassion, awareness, and a stronger sense of personal agency. Through this process, clients can develop new perspectives, healthier patterns, and a greater capacity to navigate life's challenges with confidence and clarity.

Sarah's professional experience includes hospice care, geriatric care management, community mental health, and private practice. She earned her Master of Social Service degree from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work in 2000 and is a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio. She also completed a three-year postgraduate certificate program in Gestalt Therapy through the Gestalt Institute of Philadelphia.

As a clinician, Sarah strives to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, welcoming, and collaborative. She views clients as experts in their own lives and supports them in developing greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and physical experiences. Drawing from Gestalt Therapy, she helps clients explore how past experiences may influence the present while recognizing that no one is defined by their history. Therapy can serve as a catalyst for meaningful shifts in awareness, behavior, and overall well-being.

Outside of her practice, Sarah enjoys racquet and paddle sports, gardening, and long hikes with her dog. She is married and the mother of three daughters. Sarah deeply appreciates the courage it takes to begin therapy and is committed to helping clients feel supported, empowered, and capable of creating the change they seek.
